Okay, so you’re stuck inside and stocked up on snacks. Go ahead, eat and be merry, but don’t forget to stretch those legs!
Just because you feel healthy and the world feels like it’s shutting down around you, doesn’t mean your body should too.
My favourite thing to do is have a solo dance party. If you do this outside, you get that extra dose of sunshine you’re missing and you might brighten someone else’s day!
Why not film yourself dancing and upload it to social media with the hashtag #quarentinedanceparty to join the party. We are all in this together so encourage someone else to be active and have some fun while practicing social distancing.
Of course with all of the gyms closed until further notice, we have to improvise when it comes to working out and not let the kitchen get the better of us. I have minimal equipment at home, so I’ve been using rocks as weights that I found in my backyard. Plus, exercising outside is one of the happiest tasks you can do for yourself, according to the World Health Index (Link to previous story).
Here’s a great workout that you can do at home with no equipment.
Don’t forget to use anything you can to keep yourself healthy and fit – even your dog…
