Leanne Pearson is an independent force to be reckoned with. She shows that there are no limits to an Independent Canadian Country Girl.
Leanne has been described by industry folk as level-headed, sweet, funny, quirky, a bit different and very talented. She has a positive attitude and an infectious smile that brightens any room she enters. This 32-year-old country rocker walks on stage with a pretty dress, cowboy boots and a big smile, then shatters your expectations as she tears up the stage with her edgy stage presence.
Songwriting is Leanne’s passion. She is a multidimensional writer, writing for other artists and projects, male and female alike. Leanne loves songwriting because it allows her to write about any topic or word… even cats!
In addition to a Top 50, Leanne has had 4 Top 100 songs at Canadian Country Radio as an artist. In 2021, she had the #1 music video on The Country Network in the US and has had videos on CMT and major networks across the globe.
Leanne took home Music Video of The Year for “Hot Pursuit” and Album of The Year for “Pull It Off” at the 2019 Manitoba Country Music Awards. Leanne also took home Female Artist of The Year at the 2018 Manitoba Country Music Awards.

Leanne is very hands on with her music videos, and says that creating videos is one of her favourite things to do! She typically dreams up the story lines, then edits, co-edits or co-produces her videos.
Leanne grew up watching live DVDs of classics like Eric Clapton, John Cougar Mellencamp, The Eagles and The Rolling Stones. She knew at a young age that she was going to be on stage and often used the living room as a place to perform for family, friends and even her pets. She first sang at the age of 4, singing “Tomorrow” from the musical, Annie. She joined a music theatre group at the age of 7 and was in countless musicals for many years. She played a variety of rolls from Young Nala in The Lion King, to Cosette in Les Miserable, to Lefou in Beauty And The Beast, and Sandy in Grease. Leanne wrote her first song at the age of 10. She picked up the guitar shortly after, at age 12, and taught herself how to play.
