Gabrielle Goulet is a young Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter working in the pop and country genres, charming everyone on her path. In June 2019, she made history by becoming the first artist to receive the Country Music Association of Ontario’s ‘Francophone Artist or the Year’ as well as the first to perform in French at their Gala.
Her first album, Papillon (2013), won numerous prizes: ‘Étoile Galaxie’ in the Pop/Rock/Folk Artist category of the Festival Western de St-Tite and ‘Coup de Foudre Salut!’ at Contact Ontarois, a prize that paved the way for nearly 200 shows across Ontario.
Winner of the 2015 Trille Or for ‘Best Female Artist’, Gabrielle Goulet was invited that same year to perform for her largest crowd ever at the Para-PanAm Games in Toronto. The next year, she took home the prestigious the SOCAN Song Award with Juste toi at the 2016 Gala Country.
Coast to coast, Gabrielle Goulet has shared the stage with the likes of Chad Brownlee, Nice Horse, Lulu Hugues, Marie Mai, Patrick Norman and Kaïn. She was also the subject of the documentary ‘Deux femmes, deux country’ (2019) alongside Québécois country legend Marie King – taking a deep look into the evolution of women’s role in country music. Past television appearances include ‘Pour l’amour du Country’ (2018), ‘Prise de son’ (2018), ‘En route vers l’Ouest’ (2017), ‘Flip TFO’ (2017) and ‘Jam’ (2012).
In 2017, Gabrielle Goulet released her sophomore album, ‘Elle sait’, a 10-song effort that waltzes effortlessly between country and pop. Nominated at the ADISQ Gala, this opus firmly established Gabrielle’s place in the industry, with 3 singles in the top 10 of BDS’ Palmarès québécois. Through the pandemic, Gabrielle has been dutifully working on her third album – her most personal work to date – set for release in the fall of 2022.
