Bruce Worthington’s new project, titled “Could’ve Been the Willie Nelson“, is a tribute to the life and music of Gord Downie, and offers a unique contribution to the Canadian Country Music landscape.
Bruce’s music has been featured across the country of Canada and first radio release, “Shook”, hit over 40 stations!
Note that a percentage from the sales of the new single “Could’ve Been the Willie Nelson ” will be donated back to the Downie Wenjack foundation, for continued work between Indigenous, and non-Indigenous folks in Canada!
Along with being a Country singer-songwriter, Bruce is also an instructor of Theology at the University of Toronto, and author of the books “Reading the Bible in an Age of Crisis”, and the new volume “The Visible Shape of Christ’s Life in Us”, both published in the United States.
As a performer, Bruce has opened for many recognizable Canadian touring acts including Johnny Reid, and recently performed as part of CMA Festival in Nashville TN in the summer of 2019.
