Canadian Coast To Coast is presented by Melody Motors in Melfort.
My Special Guest is Mary-Lynn Doroschuk of Wave 21.
Wave 21, a Country-rock band hailing from Montreal is headed up by Mary-Lynn. the daughter of Stefan Doroschuk, from Men Without Hats fame, who produced their debut eponymous self-titled album.
Aside from singing in the McGill University Choir, Mary-Lynn is also currently enrolled in McGill’s guitar program, in order to continually hone her craft, and for the love of music. As a teenager, she played in a Beatles cover band and performed numerous times solo.
Their debut commercial Country single, ‘Love Shouldn’t Make Me Cry’, is a classic country slow song that is sure to make a few tears drop.
The name Wave 21 comes from the mid-70s, when Mary-Lynn’s father and two uncles formed a band for a high school show, which they called Wave 21. So to carry on a family tradition, we bring you the next generation of Wave 21.
