Yvon Leroux is a musician, singer-songwriter and Canadian recording artist with roots in rural eastern Ontario.
Playing and singing from a young age and growing up in a musical family, Yvon was introduced to a vast array of music spanning from country western to classic rock and everything in between.
Yvon was born and raised on a dairy farm on the outskirts of a small town called Apple Hill, after years of hard work during the day on the farm and playing music in local bars at night he made the decision to put music aside and concentrate on farming. He bought the farm from his parents, which in turn allowed his father to build and repair acoustic guitars. Yvon and his wife Angela along with their three children grew crops on 300 acres to feed their 80 head of dairy cows along with 70 young stock.
In 2015 the herd was sold and with extra time on his hands Yvon decided to get back to music.
Whether it’s laying down guitar tracks in the studio or performing live on stage, Yvon’s take on old school influences land somewhere between rock, country and blues. His love of music and artistic direction is just beginning to develop.
His new album New Ground was released March of 2018, recorded in Vankleek Hill ON. at B-Hive Studio by producer/engineer Mike Seguin Lavigne and mastered at Ventura Digital Audio in Montreal QC. by Bill Szawlowski.
