Canadian Coast To Coast is brought to you by Melody Motors in Melfort.

My Special Guest today is Elly Thorn .

Canadian country music artist Elly Thorn was raised in a tin Saskatchewan community named Saltcoats. Typical of rural life, Thorn took music lessons as a way to fill the long, hot prairie summer days and the cold winter ones that keep you stuck indoors. She began her musical career with the touring musical review, Saskatchewan Express, as well as the Canadian Heritage Society’s Spirit of a Nation, a showcase of Canadian song and dance celebrating Canada’s cultures and history.

Thorn studied at the prestigious Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, B.C and honed her musical talents aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines. Multitalented, Thorn has also acted in TV series like Rabbit Fall and Corner Gas, as well as in stage adaptations of Evita and Toon Town with Saskatoon’s Persephone Theatre.

Elly Thorn wrote You Should Be You while sitting in the walkway between The Doubletree and Convention Centre while attending her first CCMAs in London, ONT last September. Thorn was so inspired by all the people, talent and new faces surrounding her, the song poured out of her. She was thinking about time with her family hanging out at one of Saskatchewans most beautiful lakes.
This is Elly Thorns 2nd release to radio across Canada…Elly Thorn is an easy name to remember with a voice you won’t forget. Always performing, always writing and always evolving….see y’all at the CCMA’s in Saskatoon 2017 – Elly can’t wait!
